12:50 AM EDT, 09/11/2026 (MT Newswires) -- 1&1 AG (1U1.F), a unit of United Internet AG (UTDI.F), will initiate a transformation and restructuring program for its business enterprise subsidiary, 1&1 Versatel, to boost productivity and support future investment. The plan, which includes simplified organizational and workforce structures, would reduce the Versatel workforce to 1,000 full-time employees from 1,350, according to a Thursday release. The initiative also involves an overhaul of the subsidiary's processes and IT structures. The German telecommunications group said it expects 60 million euros in one-off expenses related to the program in 2026. Following full implementation, the plan is anticipated to contribute 25 million euros annually to earnings from 2028.
