02:21 AM EDT, 09/11/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Nicox (ALCOX.PA) said Friday that China's National Medical Products Administration has accepted for review the new drug application for its glaucoma treatment NCX 470. The application, submitted by the ophthalmology company's exclusive Chinese licensee Ocumension Therapeutics, seeks approval of NCX 470 to lower intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. Nicox will receive tiered royalties of 6% to 12% on future sales of NCX 470 by Ocumension. Reviews in China typically take 12 to 18 months to complete. The company expects the review to conclude after the US Food and Drug Administration decides on the drug, expected on April 30, 2027.
