Cox Infrastructure Group's Mexican Unit Issues $800 Million Hybrid Capital Instruments

03:25 AM EDT, 09/11/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Cox Infrastructure Group (COXG.MC) said Friday its Mexican subsidiary Cox Asset México issued a perpetual subordinated hybrid capital instruments with a principal amount of $800 million. The instruments will bear an initial annual coupon of 8.75% and are subject to a first issuer call option from Sept. 17, 2031. The Spain-based integrated utility company earmarked proceeds from the oversubscribed issuance primarily to repay the $733 million term loan it secured to acquire the Mexican arm of Spanish electric utility company Iberdrola (IBE.MC).
