06:03 AM EDT, 09/11/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Airbus' (AIR.PA, AIR.F) Airbus Defence and Space and partner Unseenlabs secured a contract from France's Directorate-General for Armament to develop space-based signal intelligence satellites. Under the contract, the plane manufacturer will serve as the system integrator and provide the ground segment, control center, and satellites based on its S250 platform. Unseenlabs will supply the payload and contribute to mission planning and processing capabilities, according to a Friday release. The new system is expected to replace France's CERES satellite constellation by 2032.
