06:52 AM EDT, 09/11/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The United Arab Emirates is reportedly altering the infrastructure plans for its 5-gigawatt AI data center project following the US-Iran war. Reuters reported Friday, citing unnamed sources, that the project, which was previously planned as a large campus in Abu Dhabi, would now likely comprise a network of facilities spread across the UAE. Some data centers could be built underground to protect them from drone and missile attacks. A representative of the UAE government did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires. (Market Chatter news is derived from conversations with market professionals globally.
