07:43 AM EDT, 09/11/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Skanska (SKA-B.ST) secured a contract worth 1.6 billion Norwegian kroner from the Norwegian Public Roads Administration to upgrade the E16 Lærdal Tunnel in Norway. The Swedish construction group will upgrade the tunnel, the world's longest road tunnel, to improve safety, reliability and technical systems, according to a Friday release. Construction is set to begin in November 2026, with completion scheduled for 2029.
