German Current Account Surplus Rises in July

08:41 AM EDT, 09/11/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Germany's current account surplus totaled 21.2 billion euros in July, up by 2.3 billion euros from the previous month, the Deutsche Bundesbank said Friday. The German central bank attributed the movement to a higher surplus in trade in goods, alongside a decline in the surplus in so-called invisible current account transactions.
