Sanofi Plans Strategic Partnership to Transfer Mature Medicines, Sites to Cheplapharm

09:41 AM EDT, 09/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Sanofi (SAN.PA) plans to transfer 20 mature medicines and three manufacturing sites to German pharmaceutical company Cheplapharm as part of a potential strategic partnership between the two. The French biopharma company would receive a 26.4% interest in Cheplapharm in exchange for the portfolio transfer, according to a Monday release. The transfer of the medicines is set to start in the first quarter of 2027, followed by the sites in France, Hungary and Singapore, subject to employee information and consultation procedures, regulatory nod, and other conditions. Full closing of the deal is due by the third quarter of that year.
