11:43 AM EDT, 09/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- An association representing aircraft mechanics employed by Icelandair Group (ICEAIR.IC) called a strike for an "indefinite" period starting Sept. 23, according to a Monday release. The strike is expected to disrupt the Iceland-based airline's flight operations and impact its flight schedule unless a new collective bargaining agreement is reached with the Icelandic Aircraft Mechanics Association before then. Icelandair said the financial impact of the strike cannot be estimated at this stage.
