04:45 AM EDT, 09/15/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Telenor (TEL.OL) said Tuesday that an investigation has been opened into alleged violations of the Sanctions Act and aiding and abetting crimes against humanity relating to its former operations in Myanmar. The Norwegian telecommunications company has been formally charged in connection with both matters. No individuals have been charged or are under investigation. Telenor said it is cooperating with the investigators, adding that the investigation represents a further step in its extensive and ongoing dialogue with Norwegian prosecuting authorities.
