05:32 AM EDT, 09/15/2026 (MT Newswires) -- MaaT Pharma (MAAT.PA) said Tuesday the European Medicines Agency's Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use issued a negative trend opinion following the oral explanation for its gastrointestinal acute graft-versus-host disease investigational therapy MaaT013, or Xervyteg. The panel issued the opinion following the explanation conducted as part of the re-examination procedure of its conditional marketing authorization application. The clinical-stage pharmaceutical company said the committee reaffirmed that the current clinical data package, particularly without a randomized controlled trial, does not establish the benefit or risk profile of Xervyteg. The therapy is used to treat acute graft-versus-host disease in adult patients with gastrointestinal involvement refractory to prior lines of therapy. CHMP's formal opinion is expected on Friday.
