08:57 AM EDT, 09/15/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The UK's Competition and Markets Authority said Tuesday it is seeking feedback on undertakings proposed to address competition concerns over Vandemoortele Group's completed acquisition of Délifrance. Under the proposed remedies, Belgian food company Vandemoortele would divest its laminated dough plant in Worcester, England. It would also need to sell its UK sales operations in Staines-upon-Thames, including all necessary supporting assets, contracts, rights, staff, transitional services agreements, and Vandemoortele's toll manufacturing agreement to a suitable purchaser that meets the regulator's criteria. Interested parties have until Sept. 30 to submit their feedback. Vandemoortele completed its acquisition of French bakery café franchise Délifrance in December 2025, during which the regulator also announced an initial enforcement order. The deal was referred to an in-depth probe in April 2026.
