GTIS Partners LP said Tuesday it has rebranded as Brightshore Capital LP, following the 21-year-old real estate investment firm’s transition to 100% ownership by its partners. The firm also announced the launch of Brightshore Credit, a real estate debt investment platform anchored with a $250-million investment that will focus on origination and investment in high-yield credit including stretch senior and mezzanine financings, preferred equity and B-notes.

“The Brightshore name reflects who we are today: a partner-owned investment firm with over 20 years of experience and a long-term commitment to our investors,” said Tom Shapiro, president and founder of Brightshore Capital. “With the firm now fully owned by the partners who have built and led the business, this is the right moment to establish an identity that is entirely our own and reflects where we are taking the business next.”

Brightshore manages $5.6 billion in gross assets, focusing on residential and industrial investments in the U.S. and residential, industrial, office and hospitality in Brazil.
