02:15 AM EDT, 09/17/2026 (MT Newswires) -- European cinema chain Vue is considering an initial public offering on the London stock exchange, London's Financial Times reported Thursday. Tim Richards, the founder and chief executive of Vue, said the investors controlling the cinema chain could exit either through a potential listing or a private sale of the company, the report noted. Asset manager Barings and hedge fund Farallon Capital, which back the company, have shown their support for a potential listing that could value the company at up to 1.5 billion pounds sterling, the report added, citing two people familiar with the matter. Vue's owners, who have been working with advisers at Rothschild, could make a final decision in the coming weeks. The offering process is expected to start before the end of 2026, with a potential listing in 2027. Vue, Barings, Farallon Capital and Rothschild did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
