02:37 AM EDT, 09/17/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Switzerland's watch exports rose 9.1% year over year to 1.79 billion francs in August, reflecting value growth across all watch materials and higher volumes led by steel and other materials, the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry said Thursday. Exports of wristwatches grew 8.6%, while the other products category surged 20.4%. In the first eight months of 2026, overseas shipments increased 1.7%, surpassing the 17 billion-franc threshold.
