03:00 AM EDT, 09/17/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Bayer (BAYN.F) said Thursday it secured approval from the US Food and Drug Administration for Kerendia, or finerenone, as a treatment for adults with chronic kidney disease linked to type 1 diabetes. The approval marked the third approved indication for Kerendia in the US and followed the regulator's priority review designation for the drug. The German life science company said it supported the application for Kerendia with positive clinical trial data, including from the Phase 3 Fine-One study.
