07:45 AM EDT, 09/17/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Novo Nordisk (NOVO-B.CO) and Orbis Medicines entered into a strategic collaboration and license agreement focused on developing the next-generation oral macrocycle therapeutics for cardiometabolic diseases. Orbis will receive up to $1.4 billion in upfront and potential milestone payments, as well as tiered royalties on future sales and an additional investment from the Danish drugmaker as part of the agreement, according to a Thursday release. The partnership intends to combine Orbis' artificial intelligence-driven macrocycle discovery platform with Novo's obesity and cardiometabolic disease expertise to develop orally available medicines for high-value therapeutic targets.
