PETALING JAYA: ETA Group Bhd has appointed Kau Sin Yual as its chairman with immediate effect.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said Kau will succeed Hong Kok Cheong, who has resigned to pursue personal interests.

“Kau (53) is a seasoned industry professional with approximately 30 years of experience working in the construction, property development and infrastructure sectors.”

Through his past employment in L'Grand Development Sdn Bhd, Teknik Cekap Sdn Bhd and Veritas Architecs, ETA Group said Kau has gained experience in the planning and execution of a wide range of projects, ranging from residential and commercial developments to large scale national infrastructure works.

“Kau now runs his own property investment, development, construction and engineering services companies, where he leads and manages development and construction initiatives.”

Separately, ETA Group announced the resignation of its managing director Darmendran Kunaretnam, director Adnan Ahmad and executive director Kong Wai Fa, all of whom have stepped down to pursue their personal interests.
