Eurozone Current Account Surplus Down in July

04:08 AM EDT, 09/18/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The euro area's seasonally adjusted current account surplus declined to 28 billion euros in July from 35 billion euros in the previous month, European Central Bank data showed Friday. The consensus estimate for the month stood at 30.7 billion euros. In the 12 months to July, the bloc's current account surplus totaled 282 billion euros, against 298 billion euros a year earlier.
