I. National general public budget revenue and expenditure
(1) The general public budget revenue situation.
From January to August, the national general public budget revenue was 15663.3 billion yuan, an increase of 5.7% over the previous year. Among them, the country's tax revenue was 12910.4 billion yuan, up 6.6% year on year; non-tax revenue was 2752.9 billion yuan, up 1.5% year on year. 3. Corporate income tax was 3378.6 billion yuan, an increase of 7.3% over the previous year.
4. Personal income tax was 1208 billion yuan, an increase of 14.5% over the previous year.
5. Value-added tax and consumption tax on imported goods amounted to 1325.8 billion yuan, an increase of 12.6% over the previous year. The tariff was 154.2 billion yuan, an increase of 1% over the same period last year.
6. Refund of value-added tax and consumption tax on exported goods amounted to 1647.2 billion yuan, an increase of 4.5% over the previous year.
7. Urban maintenance and construction tax amounted to 36.4 billion yuan, an increase of 3.9% over the previous year.
8. Vehicle purchase tax was 151.1 billion yuan, an increase of 13.3% over the previous year.
9. Stamp duty was 385.8 billion yuan, an increase of 35.6% over the previous year. Among them, stamp duty on securities transactions was 216 billion yuan, an increase of 82% over the previous year.
10. Resource tax was 218.3 billion yuan, an increase of 12.4% over the previous year.

(2) General public budget expenditure.
From January to August, the national general public budget spent 18145.1 billion yuan, an increase of 1.2% over the previous year. Looking at the central government and local authorities, the central government's general public budget spent 2817.7 billion yuan at this level, an increase of 6% over the previous year; local general public budget expenditure was 15327.4 billion yuan, an increase of 0.3% over the previous year.
The main categories of expenditure are as follows:
1. Education expenditure was 2727.9 billion yuan, an increase of 0.7% over the previous year.
2. Science and technology expenditure was 60.1 billion yuan, an increase of 2.2% over the previous year.
3. Cultural tourism, sports and media expenditure amounted to 210.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 7.2%.
4. Social security and employment expenses amounted to 3273 billion yuan, an increase of 6.5% over the previous year.
5. Health expenditure was 1497.8 billion yuan, an increase of 9.2% over the previous year.
6. Energy saving and environmental protection expenditure was 290.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 12.3%.
7. Urban and rural communities spent 1195.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 3%.
8. Agriculture, forestry and water expenditure was 1276.9 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 6%.
9. Transportation expenditure was 692.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 2.9%.
10. Debt interest payments amounted to 918.8 billion yuan, an increase of 5.4% over the previous year.
II. Budget revenue and expenditure of national government funds
(1) The budget revenue situation of government funds.
From January to August, the national government fund budget revenue was 2141.9 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 19%. Looking at the central government and local authorities, the budget revenue of central government funds was 329.2 billion yuan, up 12.2% year on year; local government fund budget revenue was 1812.7 billion yuan, down 22.9% year on year. Among them, revenue from state-owned land use rights concession was 1375.3 billion yuan, down 28.6% year on year.
(2) Budget expenditure of government funds.
From January to August, the national government fund budget expenditure was 5194.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 17%. Looking at the central government and local authorities, central government fund budget expenditure was 317.5 billion yuan, down 58.3% year on year; local government fund budget expenditure was 4877.3 billion yuan, down 11.3% year on year. Among them, expenditure related to revenue from state-owned land use rights concessions was 2178.6 billion yuan, down 18.5% year on year.
