KUALA LUMPUR: Zetrix AI Bhd has delayed the payment of its final cash dividend after a substantial shareholder obtained an interim court injunction involving certain central depository system (CDS) accounts.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Zetrix AI said its share registrar received the sealed ad-interim injunction granted by the Kuala Lumpur High Court on Sept 17.

The injunction seeks to prevent the payment of cash dividends to certain CDS accounts which the substantial shareholder claims to beneficially own, after nominees allegedly failed to follow instructions to elect for shares under the dividend reinvestment plan (DRP) instead of cash.

Zetrix AI said its share registrar requires additional time to exclude the cash dividend attributable to the affected accounts.

“Accordingly, the payment of the cash dividend, which was initially fixed for Sept 18, to the shareholders of the company will be delayed and is expected to be completed on or before Sept 23,” it said.

The dividend involves a final single-tier dividend of 2.89 sen per share for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2025.

For other shareholders who elected for the DRP, the new shares will continue to be allotted and issued on Sept 18 and are expected to be listed on Bursa Malaysia's Main Market on Sept 21.
