07:09 AM EDT, 09/18/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The European Medicines Agency's Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use recommended approval of Incyte Biosciences Distribution's Povofortay, a treatment for hidradenitis suppurativa, according to a Friday release. The drug is intended to treat active moderate-to-severe hidradenitis suppurativa, or acne inversa, in adult patients who have responded inadequately to, or who are intolerant or contraindicated to, an anti-TNF therapy. The European Commission is expected to issue its final decision in the next couple of months.
