Listen to the news

Shares of TruGolf Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:TRUG) are surging Friday morning as investors respond to the company’s announcement of novel blockchain-based financing initiatives aimed at accelerating its franchise rollout.

Tokenized Franchise Funding and Equipment Leasing

The primary catalyst behind Friday’s rally is a joint initiative announced Friday between TruGolf Links Franchising and Polymath to address capital constraints for prospective franchisees. The companies are developing an equipment leasing plan that will be funded through a tokenized offering on the Polymath platform. This structure aims to provide alternative funding for individuals looking to open TruGolf Links indoor simulator locations.

In addition to the leasing program, the companies are in the early stages of structuring fractional franchise ownership offerings. By utilizing Polymath’s blockchain technology, the plan aims to allow investors to participate in fractional ownership of TruGolf Links franchises through regulated digital securities.

Synergies Ahead of Expected Q4 Acquisition Close

Management anticipates having these financing structures operational by the first quarter of 2027, contingent upon the successful closing of TruGolf’s acquisition of Polymath. The acquisition agreement, originally announced on August 18, is expected to close by the end of the fourth quarter of 2026.
