11:28 PM EDT, 09/20/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Nova Ljubljanska banka, Ljubljana (NLB.L), doing business as NLB Group, reached an agreement with Skupina PRVA and its related parties, as well as KD Group, to acquire more than 55% of the voting rights in Deželna banka Slovenije, or DBS Group. Following completion, which is expected in the second half of 2027, DBS will become part of the Slovenian financial group, according to a Sept. 18 filing. The company plans to retain DBS' branch network in areas where NLB Group currently lacks physical presence. NLB Group also said it remains open to negotiations to acquire a larger strategic stake in DBS, which had total assets of 1.6 billion euros at the end of 2025, equivalent to a 2.8% market share.
