12:17 AM EDT, 09/21/2026 (MT Newswires) -- EDF is planning to review options for its shareholding in Italian utility Edison SpA (EDNR.MI), including a preferred equity offering, Reuters reported Sept. 18, citing three sources familiar with the matter. The unnamed sources said the French nuclear utility is anticipated to reassess the situation at the end of September. They noted that a deal is expected be signed by the end of 2026 or in early 2027, subject to the offering being launched later in September. One of the three said a preferred equity structure would protect new investors amid volatility associated with disruptions in the supply of liquefied natural gas.
