03:13 AM EDT, 09/21/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Kazakhstan's national atomic company Kazatomprom (KAP.L) secured a subsoil license for uranium exploration at the Kyzyltu block in Kazakhstan's Kyzylorda region. The six-year license provides exclusive rights for uranium exploration to Kazatomprom, according to a Monday filing. Kazatomprom expects to commence the exploration in the near term to further evaluate the block's potential. According to preliminary estimates, uranium resources at the block could amount to 10,000 tonnes.
