03:50 AM EDT, 09/21/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Central Asia Metals (CAML.L) said Monday that the second court hearing for its planned acquisition of dual-listed Cygnus Metals will be deferred amid outstanding regulatory approval from Kazakhstan. The metal production and exploration company informed Cygnus Metals that it does not expect to receive the approval before the hearing, which is currently scheduled for Wednesday. Cygnus Metals will now approach the Supreme Court of Western Australia to defer the court date. Central Asia Metals resubmitted its application electronically to Kazakhstan's Ministry of Industry and Construction on Sept. 18 due to certain procedural changes. Central Asia Metals expects approval to be granted on or before Oct. 12.
