BioCardia Shares Fall 10% After Hours: Here's Why

BioCardia Inc. (NASDAQ:BCDA) shares fell 10.19% to $0.97 in after-hours trading Monday.

BioCardia is a biotechnology company developing cell therapies for cardiovascular diseases.

Nasdaq Compliance

BioCardia said Nasdaq notified the company that it had regained compliance with the $1 minimum bid price requirement after its closing bid price remained at $1 or greater for at least 10 consecutive business days.

The company had previously received a Nasdaq notice in August after its stock remained below the $1 minimum bid price requirement for 30 consecutive business days.

BioCardia said the notification has no effect on trading of its common stock, which continues to trade on the Nasdaq Capital Market under the ticker BCDA. The company also cautioned that there can be no assurance it will maintain compliance with the requirement in the future.

BioCardia has a market capitalization of approximately $16.35 million.

Over the past 12 months, BioCardia shares have fallen 2.7%.

The stock has traded between a 52-week high of $1.80 and a 52-week low of $0.75.
