05:09 AM EDT, 09/22/2026 (MT Newswires) -- SeaTwirl (STW.ST) signed a five-year memorandum of understanding with Australian project developer Hunter Floating Offshore Wind to build a 20-megawatt demonstration floating offshore wind farm off the coast of Newcastle, Australia. The Swedish floating wind turbine manufacturer will contribute technology, a reference design and engineering support, including a 2-MW floating vertical-axis turbine it is developing, according to a Tuesday release. The agreement includes a 24-month exclusivity clause under which the developer cannot use any other floating wind technology for the project and SeaTwirl cannot appoint any other Australian development partner.
