06:06 AM EDT, 09/22/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Total new orders in the UK manufacturing sector improved to -9% in September from -25% in August, the Confederation of British Industry's industrial trends survey showed Tuesday. Analysts expected the reading to stand at -33%. Total order books, however, were reported as below "normal" in September 2026, albeit to the smallest extent since July 2023.
