12:02 AM EDT, 09/23/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Airtel Money is expected to file the paperwork for an initial public offering on the London stock exchange as soon as Wednesday, London's Financial Times reported Tuesday, citing two people familiar with the matter. The unnamed sources said the African mobile payments business of telecommunications and mobile money services provider Airtel Africa (AAF.L) is aiming to raise at least $800 million for a valuation in the $8 billion to $9 billion range. The IPO is expected to be one of the largest on the bourse in recent years. One of the sources said Airtel Africa's ownership of the business after the transaction is yet to be determined, the report noted.
