04:02 AM EDT, 09/23/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Rheinmetall (RHM.F) signed a multi-year framework agreement with Germany's Federal Customs Administration to provide maintenance, repair, and emergency services for four liquefied natural gas-powered customs vessels. The German defense group's Naval Systems Division will provide technical support to one 67-meter and three 55-meter LNG patrol vessels at the Lubmin, Neustadt i.H., Wilhelmshaven, and Emden ports, according to a Wednesday release. Rheinmetall noted that the LNG ships control and monitor cross-border trade within Germany's territorial waters and Exclusive Economic Zone.
