PETALING JAYA: Rimbunan Sawit Bhd has revealed that the blockage of the main access route to its Ulu Teru Estate operations in Sarawak has been lifted since Sept 15, 2026.

However, the company said it has sustained a loss of approximately RM10mil since access to the estate was disrupted from June 18, 2026.

“The company has completed its assessment of the operational and financial impact arising from the disruption. Based on the assessment, the disruption has resulted in an estimated reduction in revenue of approximately RM10mil.

“The board will continue to monitor the situation and management will take the necessary measures to safeguard the company's operations and interests,” it said in a Bursa Malaysia filing.

Rimbunan Sawit announced in July that access to the estate of the subsidiary namely, PJP Pelita Ulu Teru Plantation Sdn Bhd (Ulu Teru estate) has been disrupted due to a blockage of the main access route to the estate.

As a result of the blockage, harvesting, transportation of fresh fruit bunches and certain estate operations had been affected, it said.
