Amazon, Apple, Micron, Check Point Software On CNBC’s ‘Final Trades’

On CNBC’s “Halftime Report Final Trades,” Joshua Brown, co-founder and CEO of Ritholtz Wealth Management, picked Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN).

Amazon, on Sept. 16, struck a multibillion-dollar generator supply deal with Generac Holdings Inc (NYSE:GNRC).

Brian Belski, founder, CEO & chief investment officer at Humilis Investment Strategies, named Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ:CHKP) as his final trade.

On the earnings front, Check Point Software reported mixed second-quarter results on July 30. The company also issued third-quarter guidance below estimates.

Check Point Software reported quarterly earnings of $2.55 per share, which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $2.45 per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $673.600 million, which missed the analyst consensus estimate of $676.387 million.

Jim Lebenthal, partner and chief market strategist at Cerity Partners, recommended Micron Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:MU).

Supporting his choice, RBC Capital analyst Srini Pajjuri reiterated an Outperform rating on Micron on Sept. 18 and maintained a $1,500 price target.

Joseph M. Terranova, senior managing director for Virtus Investment Partners, picked Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL).

In recent news, Apple released a new Mac mini powered by the M6 and M5 Pro chips and a new Mac Studio featuring the M5 Max and M5 Ultra.

  • Amazon shares fell 1.3% to close at $254.98 on Tuesday.
  • Check Point Software shares gained 2.2% to close at $137.13 during the session.
  • Micron shares rose 5% to settle at $1,096.16 on Tuesday.
  • Apple shares gained 0.2% to close at $339.75.
