Samsung Electronics announced today that it has signed contracts with Korea Telecom and SKTelecom to support its artificial intelligence wireless access network project under the Korea Ministry of Science, Technology, Information and Communications's “Super Artificial Intelligence Network” program. Samsung will act as KT's exclusive global supplier and SKTelecom's main supplier, respectively. The projects are scheduled to launch in October 2026 and will deploy 5G independent networking private networks in various industrial environments, from shipyards to petrochemical facilities, to validate AIRAN's capabilities and generate real-world insights for future deployments.
