09:46 AM EDT, 09/23/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Eutelsat Communications (ETL.L, ETL.PA) and MEO signed a partnership agreement to roll out the French satellite communications company's OneWeb Low Earth Orbit, or LEO, services in Portugal. OneWeb LEO services will be integrated into the Portuguese telecommunications company's connectivity portfolio, alongside its existing fiber and 5G services, to guarantee backup network access for businesses, the public sector, and critical infrastructure operators, according to a Wednesday release. The new deal builds on the companies' ongoing infrastructure collaboration, under which MEO hosts Eutelsat's local ground station facilities.
