The Zhitong Finance App learned that Google (GOOGL.US) is expanding the scope of application of its Google Vids, so that users with Google accounts can use the Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash model to generate AI videos for free. Business users on the Workspace Business plan, as well as consumers subscribed to the Google AI plan, can use advanced features and receive higher usage limits. Users can set a specific length of time to generate clips and create AI videos in 1080p HD quality.

With AI prompts, users can generate original clips or modify existing video footage, and add personal avatars (avatars). All AI-generated video clips will have a SynthID watermark embedded within the video frame.

The Gemini 3.8 Flash-Lite text-to-speech feature will be added to Google Vids in the future, allowing users to turn scripts into natural-sounding voice-overs in over 100 languages.
