11:42 PM EDT, 09/23/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Novartis (NOVN.SW) secured a favorable ruling from a US court in a case alleging patent misuse to delay the generic version of its heart failure medication Entresto, or sacubitril/valsartan. The Iron Workers Local 580 Insurance Fund filed the complaint, which the US District Court for the Southern District of New York dismissed in a decision published Wednesday. The court determined that Novartis' patent was "properly listed" in the Orange Book and ruled that the plaintiff's argument lacked merit. Novartis did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
