04:55 AM EDT, 09/25/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Sampo (SAMPO.HE) will recognize an impairment loss of 118 million euros before tax in the third quarter after reviewing IT-related intangible assets in Denmark. The Finnish property and casualty insurance company will book the impairment as it moves ahead with integrating Topdanmark into If Group and harmonizing core IT systems, according to a Friday release. The non-cash charge will be recorded in other expenses and excluded from operating EPS, with Sampo expecting only a "minor" effect on solvency.
