05:32 AM EDT, 09/25/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Pensana (PRE.L) expects construction at the Longonjo rare earth mine in Angola to be extended to late 2028 as financing discussions continue. The mineral properties explorer is in talks with major shareholders and potential major offtake partners to secure funding needed to complete and commission the mine, according to a Friday release. Pensana said construction at the mine is more than 30% complete. Separately, Pensana accepted a farm-in offer from Tyranna for the Coola project located 30 kilometers from Longonjo. As agreed, Tyranna will spend $2.6 million over three years, which could reduce Pensana's stake in the project to 20%.
