06:00 AM EDT, 09/25/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The United Arab Emirates canceled all flights to and from Iran on Thursday until further notice. The General Civil Aviation Authority said the suspension was due to the US ban on Iranian airlines, the WAM news agency reported. The US Treasury on Sept. 8 sanctioned 36 targets for supporting Iran's aviation sector, including 27 Iranian airlines, for allegedly helping its government move weapons, staff and illicit cargo.
