07:11 AM EDT, 09/25/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Cereno Scientific's (CRNO-B.ST) phase 1 pharmacokinetic bridging study of histone deacetylase inhibitor CS014 met predefined expectations, according to a Friday release. Based on the results, the Swedish biotechnology company will advance CS014 directly toward a phase 2b trial in pulmonary hypertension associated with interstitial lung disease, or PH-ILD, without a phase 2a trial or further non-clinical safety studies. The plan remains subject to the US Food and Drug Administration's review of the investigational new drug package for CS014. Cereno expects to file the application in the fourth quarter of 2026 and, pending regulatory clearance, begin the phase 2b trial in PH-ILD in the third quarter of 2027.
