11:14 AM EDT, 09/25/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The European Union Aviation Safety Agency, or EASA, did not identify any immediate safety concern at the moment related to the quality issue in Airbus' (AIR.PA, AIR.F) A321neo ⁠jets. In a Friday emailed statement to MT Newswires, a spokesperson said EASA is "fully aware" of the issue and is closely coordinating with the European aircraft maker. "We will continue to oversee the situation to evaluate any additional actions that may be necessary." The statement comes after media reports that the European aircraft maker discovered a quality flaw related to anti-corrosion coating on a certain strengthening component in the fuselage of its A321neo ⁠jets.
