11:15 AM EDT, 09/25/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Eni (ENI.MI) has set a price cap on diesel and petrol products sold by its Enilive unit amid escalating fuel prices in Italy. The Italian energy company set the maximum price at 2.19 euros per liter of diesel and 1.99 euros per liter of petrol, which represent a 0.17 euro discount to current average prices, according to a Friday release. The price cap will take effect over an initial period of 30 days starting on Sept. 28, and may be extended until the end of 2026, subject to market and supply developments.
