11:28 PM EDT, 09/27/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Arion Bank (ARION.IC) tapped bidders to join the second round of its sale of Blikastaðaland, which the lender owns through its Landey subsidiary. The bank said Sept. 25 that the submitted bids for Blikastaðaland indicate a total purchase price of between 14 billion Icelandic kronur and 16 billion kronur, with about two-thirds payable in cash at closing and the remainder to be paid later. The bank valued Blikastaðaland at 7.5 billion kronur in its first-half interim financial statements, with no decision yet to revise the book value. Arion Bank said the bids are subject to conditions and there is no binding commitment to sell. The second phase is expected to be completed before the end of 2026, but may take longer subject to various external factors.
