In August, 17 new initial listed companies were added in the entire market, with a total initial capital raised of 22.08 billion yuan. Of these, GEM and Science and Technology Innovation Board companies raised 61% of the capital; no companies were delisted. At the end of August, the total share capital of the entire market was 8.93 trillion shares, an increase of 10.07 billion shares over the previous month, of which newly listed companies accounted for 43%. Based on the closing price, the total market value of domestic stocks was 116.6 trillion yuan, up 6 trillion yuan from the previous month. Among them, the market value of the manufacturing industry increased by 5 trillion yuan month-on-month, accounting for 61%, the market value of the mining industry increased by 0.5 trillion yuan, and the market value of the scientific research and technical services industry increased by more than 100 billion yuan.

In August, the overall market capitalization center of listed companies moved upward: the number of companies with a market capitalization of 100 billion or more increased by 5; the number of companies with a market capitalization of 500 to 100 billion increased by 22; the number of companies with a market capitalization of 10-50 billion increased by 96; the number of companies with a market capitalization of 5-10 billion increased by 95; and the number of companies with a market capitalization of less than 5 billion yuan decreased by 201. At the end of August, the median market capitalization of the entire market was 6.01 billion yuan, up 460 million yuan from month to month; the median market capitalization of the electronics industry was 11.95 billion yuan, up 2.47 billion yuan from month to month.

In January-August, a total of 33 A-share companies from all over the market went public in Hong Kong, raising a total of more than HK$230 billion. The capital raised was mainly focused on advanced manufacturing fields such as semiconductors, consumer electronics, and high-end medical devices. At the end of August, there were 1909 Chinese concept listed companies in major overseas markets, of which the number of H share companies increased by 60 compared to the beginning of the year.

At the end of August, the top ten listed companies in the US stock market had a total market capitalization of 199.2 trillion yuan, an increase of 4.3% over the previous month; there were 16 Chinese listed companies with a total domestic and foreign market capitalization exceeding trillion dollars.
