12:13 AM EDT, 09/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Moody's Ratings changed its outlook on Piraeus Bank (TPEIR.AT) to positive from stable, signaling a potential upgrade for the lender over the next 12 to 18 months. In a Monday note, the rating agency said the revision is in line with the recent change to positive of its outlook for the government of Greece and the upward pressure on the Greek lender's baseline credit assessment. With the outlook change, Moody's also affirmed the Baa1 long-term local- and foreign-currency deposit ratings of Piraeus, citing its baseline credit assessment and loss given failure analysis of the bank.
