03:43 AM EDT, 09/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Alstom (ALO.PA) received an order from Västtrafik for 35 additional Avelia Stream Nordic X80 trains under an existing framework contract, through an option worth about 350 million euros. The French rail and transport equipment company said Tuesday the order brings the total number of trains it will deliver to Västtrafik, the public transport authority for western Sweden, to 80. It will also continue to maintain the fleet, which includes the new trains and older rolling stock.
