UK Regulator Seeks Feedback on Proposed Remedies for Co-operative Group-Southern Co-operative Deal

06:22 AM EDT, 09/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The UK's Competition and Markets Authority is seeking third-party feedback on the proposed remedies to address the competition concerns regarding Co-operative Group's purchase of The Southern Co-operative. The undertakings will see the British consumer co-op Co-operative Group divest 15 convenience stores and two funeral home assets to remedy the UK watchdog's concerns, according to a Tuesday notice. The regulator said that it may conditionally approve the deal if the undertakings are satisfactory.
