08:48 AM EDT, 09/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- AB Science (AB.PA) paused two clinical studies in acute myeloid leukemia and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis amid a quality management system overhaul following a "for cause" Good Clinical Practice inspection that ran Sept. 21-25. The French pharmaceutical company said Tuesday the sponsor inspection involved five inspectors from health authorities in France, Denmark and Greece, without providing further details. It expects to receive the inspection report before year-end and disclose any changes to its development plan. The company outlined a three-step development plan that starts with its new quality management system. It then plans to resume its phase 1 study of AB8939 in acute myeloid leukemia in early 2027 and its phase 3 study of masitinib in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis in the fourth quarter of 2027.
